Verida’s Facility Outreach Team Provides Transportation Education to Members in Gainesville, Georgia

Verida’s Ashuana Turner shares educational material on Non-Emergency Medical Transportation available to Medicaid members.
Verida’s Facility Outreach team continues the 2024 year by providing education and support to expecting mothers in the state of Georgia through the Georgia Department of Community Health’s Baby Shower series for their expecting mothers/members.
This most recent event took place at the Fair Street Neighborhood Center in Gainesville, Georgia. A crowd of up to 50 Medicaid members who are mothers-to-be, experienced a delightful lunch, speakers, and education about resources available to them from organizations like Verida.
“We have been in partnership with this DCH event for about 2 years. We have covered communities in Atlanta, Fulton County, Cobb, and Hall counties,” says Facility Outreach Manager LaTonia Dixon. “It’s simply an extension of the care we put into servicing members on a daily basis,” comments Dixon.
During the event Verida speaks about the benefits of their transportation services and each member receives a brochure and a raffle ticket for gift bags. The bags include pacifiers, bottles, wipes, bottle cleaner, and nail kits. The team also networks with other vendors at the event.
The average member attendance at each event is 45-50 people.
